Objective

Remote Strategy Plus were engaged by Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia to support their Ayers Rock Resort operation to effectively manage their Indigenous Engagement Programs on a daily basis, improve role clarity amongst staff through improved service delivery frameworks, as well as capture all relevant data, produce timely reporting and evidence of outcomes across all programs.

Our approach

Our approach was a combination of workforce engagement activities and workshops, management workshops, as well as review and analysis of all programs, to firstly develop a clear operational, reporting and evaluation framework to support the design of a project management system built specifically to their individual program requirements. Using Smartsheet project management platform, we then created the entire systems environment including digital / online data capture forms, data registers, project management frameworks, automated reporting and program dashboard reports all developed to the specific needs of each Indigenous Engagement program,. The final output of the project was to review how the system worked in operation, to ensure the system meets the needs of the team, management, Voyages board as well as funding bodies.

Impact

Voyages Ayers Rock Resort Indigenous Engagement Programs now haveĀ  clear governance framework in place, and a system built to program specifications that captures data daily, and a clear framework exists for each program, so that staff can be supported in doing their work, management can access real time data and reporting, and programs can be monitored and evaluated using real-time data.
