Strategic grant and tender writing
Objective

Remote Strategy Plus were engaged by Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation (Julalikari) to support grant and tender writing across the organisation, including Nyinkka Nyunyu Art and Cultural Centre, Jajjikari Cafe and the Construction Unit, as well as several of Julalikari’s Joint Venture businesses, to prepare grants and tenders to support business growth.

Our approach

We collaborated with Julalikari to identify areas for growth and capacity building, and then worked to identify funding sources that would support business growth. Our approach always involves the development structured Project Plans around each initiative, factoring in the needs of the individual project from an assets, business and operational perspective. Each Project Plan we produced also contained  clear budget and implementation steps to support the organisation to implement each funding agreement from a governance, financial and operational perspective. The individual Project Plans are then used to develop funding applications to the best identified funding sources. This has included NIAA Aboriginal Benefits Account, the Central Land Council’s Aboriginal Benefits Account Stimulus package, and the NT Government.

Impact

As a direct result of our collaboration, Julalikari were successful in having over $10 million in funding approved. The strategic and holistic approach taken by Remote Strategy Plus has played a pivotal role in supporting Julalikari to increase its funding profile, and through the Project Plans that were created, provided clear direction and frameworks for management to deliver outcomes for Julalikari and its members.
